Rules and Terms

The Dogsites Funny Photo Competition utilises a 5 star rating vote system (100 point calculation against number of votes)

One vote per photo per person per day (IP’s are logged)

Competition runs from 1st January 08 to 1st March 08

First Prize: 1 9”x12” original Fine Art Pet Portrait created by multi-award winning artist Michelle Wrighton valued at $289.00. The portrait will be created from a suitable photograph provided by the winner, using mixed media on drafting film and will be shipped matted/mounted/unframed.

Second Prize: One year subscription to National Dog the RingLeader way magazine, valued at up to $155.00

Third Prize: $50.00 Gift Voucher from Amazon.com.

Submitting a photograph into this competiton signifies your acceptance and agreement of these Terms and Conditions listed here and within the dogsites.com.au other policies .

Photo submissions must feature a dog or dogs (all breeds/mixed breeds welcome!).

The person submitting the photo must own the Copyright to the photo – this means the person who took the photo is the only person who can submit the photo without written permission from the photographer (a copy of which must be provided to Dogsites).

Any legal repercussions due to copyright or other violations are the responsibility of the individual submitting the photo.

To submit a photo you must be a registered member of Dogsites (membership is free).

The Funniest Photo and Runner-up Funniest Photos will be determined by the number of votes each submission receives and the rating received.

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or substitute products unless determined by the owners of Dogsites.

Members may submit as many photos as they wish, however only one prize may be awarded per member, so for example if a member has enough votes to have a first and second place (two seperate photos) they will only be awarded the first place. Votes are per photo and are not accumulated for multiple photos.

In the event of more than one photo having the same number of votes and rating for any particular prize we will conduct a short vote off between those photos to determine one winner for each prize (1st, 2nd and 3rd).

Please note: This is the first competition held by Dogsites utilizing the rating system. In the event that any problems/inappropriate use arises with the rating system, the owners of Dogsites reserve the right to re-start voting or the competition if necessary.

While precautions are taken, Dogsites cannot be held liable for any problem, miscalculation, malfunction, system error, lack of availability or other issue relating to the Dogsites website connection, downtime or voting system malfunction that may affect voting or visitor numbers.

The owners of Dogsites cannot submit or vote on entries for this competition.
