Pedigree Generator
The following linked forms will generate the necessary HTML code required to have a 3, 4 or 5 generation pedigree for you to add to your dogsites.com.au Member Dog profile or your web page if you have one.
To be able to edit your pedigree, you have to be a registered member of dogsites.com.au and also be logged in so the pedigree is registered against your account. No edit options are available otherwise
This is a free service and therefore no warranty or guarantee can be provided that the code generated is suited specifically to your needs. However we welcome and are happy to assist people where needed via our online forums if there is a need for support. We cannot however add the HTML code to your web page or profile for you. The following however is provided to assist you.
Adding the HTML code to your profile or a My Dogs entry.
Simply select the code that is generated after you have entered all the pedigree information and copy it to a notepad or similar on your computer (do not paste into wordpad or Word etc - notepad or similar is better) then go to your Profile and the Member Dog entry you want to add the pedigree to. Above the box where the pedigree information can be added will be a series of small buttons like those found in most popular word processors, one of these will be a \'HTML\' button, select it - a new window will appear - and paste in the code you copied of the pedigree you created. Select the Update button on the window, your pedigree should now be shown in the pedigree box now save your Member Dogs entry and your done.
Adding the HTML code to an exitsing web page you have.
There are many possible editors that people use to create, edit and modify their web pages, so we really cannot provide any detail on how to do this. What we can say is that whatever editor you do use there should be a way to add HTML code, find it and simply paste the HTML generated where you want it displayed on your website page.
Please again note we only retain the pedigree generated if you are a registered user and are logged in at the time of you creating the pedigree.
The form does not record any other user details such as email so it is safe from spammers using it to email you.
There are no limits to the information you can enter, so that is up to you to add as much or as little as you want. No field is mandatory, if you leave a field blank the result will be blank too, although the pedigree itself will still show the pedigree box for each Sire/Dam field even if left blank.
There are 3 pedigree generators available, at this stage you cannot move data from one Pedigree Creator to the other (we are working on that), so be sure to select the pedigree you really do want to use.
