Interesting read - I have switched my girl from 50:50 raw/dry to 100 raw and I am still struggling to get the quantity correct.

I swapped Tia over to RAW last year, although it took several months for her to adjust, and me to accept that 100% RAW was possible (and healthy). I swapped Taj to RAW after a week or two (about 9 weeks of age as he was having awful poops on prepared food). Trinity was born on a farm and was raised on RAW.

I find it so easy now, I judge how they are doing by how they look and feel, with Taj and Trin being Border Collies, I aim to keep them lean, Tia on the other hand is harder to keep wight on, but her coat and allergy issues have never been better, all thanks to a raw diet. Although mine do get a small amount of junk food occasionally (kibble/chunkers/tuckertime) as training treats or kong stuffers.

I find the easiest way to feed raw (at least for adults) is to think about the % of 'bits' in an animal - 60%-ish muscle meat, 30%-ish bones, 10% organs - and table scraps. Its not an exact science, but as long as you feed a good variety of different meats, fish, bones and organs, the occasional egg and maybe the odd vegie, over time it all works out. Oh I add fish oil supplements for Omega 3 and 6 (with added Vit E).

So much easier than kibble feeding, and poop scooping is a lot pleasanter (and is another way of working out if you need to add more muscle meat or more bone to the diet)!

I worry I won't get it right so give them Dog biscuits and they get Chicken frames & bones every couple of days. Plus haven't really got the fridge storage space to keep a lot of meat.

Johnson I think its easier then it sounds - I am not sure I have it right but Ness certainly enjoys her raw and seems to be doing ok although like you I worry I am missing something.
