We now after last w/e have qualified 7 Rottweilers with their ET titles.
It is not difficult and we never run more than 10 klms in training in one session.
Most dogs that fail are due to temperature of the dog and failure of high temp to stabilise
on the second check.
If your dog is not fit enough that is what will happen.
Worst thing about ETs is the early morning training or Late evening and
the saddle sores.
We feed totally Raw food, so chicken carcases and all bone are deleted
from the diet at least 3 days before hand, last thing you need is a constipated dog
stopping to eliminate in the middle of the trial.
Protein need to be increased as the muscles want to develop and carbohydrates needs to be increased
toward the end of the training regime, in our opinion.
Gaining ET titles gives quite a sense of achievement and certainly our dogs love the work.
