Hello everyone
I am completely new at this so if i get something wrong please let me know.

The reason i joined this site is 1- well i love dogs (really any animal) i don't breed them at all but i know serveral breeders around town eg boxer breeders live next door
and 2- i wanted to know if anyone has any tips on how to get over losing your best friend when it happens all of a sudden eg poison, snake bite, bloat,

we had two blue heelers from the same litter born in 2003 and about 6 months ago we had someone bait one of them and the thing that makes it even harder is the fact that from around our area we had the most well behaved dogs (people living a couple of doors up didn't even know we had dogs till they saw us in the front yard with them early last year) i know most people think of heelers as scary dogs but its all about how they are raised.

Anyway to try and keep myself and her owner sane along with my dog who had all of a sudden lost her mate from birth we started to look into getting another dog we looked after one of my mother inlaws dogs to see if we could handle having another dog that wasn't our beloved jess in the yard and then after a couple of days thought we would be able to handle a new addition to the family and as if fate we heard about a little pup about 3 months old who had been dumped and if no one claimed her that day she would be put down we went to see her and the weird thing is that other than mark at the base of her tail she looks just like our jess we had just lost of course we took her in and got her used to everything ( it seems like whoever dumped her abused her as well)

Any now she is used to everything and basically completely retrained and now because we are not having to work with her every spare mintue of the day we feel the empty space from our previous dog even more now if thats even possible and because of that i am scared that we will now lose either my dog or the pup we saved because if someone put a bait in our yard it could happen again and next door had a dog die not that long ago from bloat happened in like 30 mins or something and its now snake season and i know of one dog that was bitten by a snake about 2 weeks ago

Hi everyone,
Hope this posting finds everyone well and happy. I am new to the forum. I thought this will be a great way to meet like- minded people who loves our furkids.

I'm living in Victoria with my partner and 2 furballs. Both of them are pomeranians. Sooty is 1.6 years old and Monty is 9 months old. Back home where I come from (Singapore), I've got 2 miniature fox terriers and a maltese. My fox terriers became part of my life when I was a student here in Australia. Upon graduation, I went home to Singapore and took my gals back home with me.
