Nuggy that bitch would have been Aus Ch Sunset Hit. She was bred to Aus Ch Xilone Spring Sparrow , and one of the grand daughters has her profile on another site. I will be breeding my bitch to Sparrow when she next comes in.

I've met a few long time showies who tell me about showing the race bred dogs and how the judges always checked their ears for tattoo's. I've never had a judge check Fern's ears for tattoo's so maybe that old habit has died out.

Gid'ay I am totally new to a dog site I am familar with horse sites so this is very new to me and I may just blunder along a little I guess.
I have a Bloodhound bitch Pagan who I purchased from a breeder in NSW a Tina Smart who had answered an email on my love of this breed and desire to own a bloodhound for trailing work. She recomended one she had bred and I have never been happier, an 8 month old bitch, called Pagan.
Pagan and I have been trailing for about 5 months off and on as I have a Welsh Cob Stud also which keeps me quite busy.
I have recently dicovered they dont except bloodhounds for Search and Rescue in Victoria which was a little disapointing for me, as I am also a current member of St John's Ambulance and have a high level of first aid.

Not to worry I guess I still find trailing fantastic fun and perhaps some time down the track somebody may start a trailing club,
totally different from tracking I must add. Well I guess that will let people know a little about me any how.
Nadie.

Hey, I'm sorta new, was a member but couldn't log in so have re joined under a different name. I love this site and have missed all the great stuff and info on it.
I used to be active in the dog world in Sydney doing agiltiy, obedience and sheep/cattle trials with my Kelpies but I stupidly moved to the darling Downs of QLD. There is not much dog sport or dog anything up here, it is like living in the dark ages.
The local obedience club still enforces check chain and negative training, they don't support agility and there is no active training clubs for stock work. So my dogs are stuck with just me training them and not as much socialisation fun.
I have 6 working Kelpies and have the Arabanoo Working Kelpie Stud. They do everything and what can I say, they are the best of course...hahaha My Partner has 5 dogs - a kelpie, retired greyhound, border collie x, a bull arab and a bullarab x wolfhound. So all up we have 11 dogs which makes for lots of fun.

I am after any info from people who have had a dog with spondylosis of the spine. My best and favourtie dog has just been diagnosised with it and I need peace of mind of what I'm dealing with.

Well can't wait to talk and meet you all and read all about the fun everyone has with their dogs..

Great site

I don't know a lot about your dogs problem it does'nt sound good and I honestly hope you find the answer.
Agility sounds like they need to get with the times also.
I have the same problem with trailing bloodhounds no trailing club exists in Australia yet!
In America it is big and very competitive, trailing clubs verses tracking clubs which I recon would be really exciting.
Welcome back to the forum although I am only new here,
Nadie.

Hi Adelain and swagette and anyone else I may have missed saying hello too - so busy...

Welcome to dogsites and I hope you find our site useful.

swagette I don't have any direct experience with spondylosis so cannot provide any real help there, I hope maybe another forum regular can help you. What I will ask is as your building your research and if you have any results that maybe you can write up a report/article that we can post here for anyone elee wanting information, full credit of course will go to you.

That goes for any dogsites members, we are very happy to publish and welcome articles from any of our members with full credit and link backs to their websites if you have one.

Cheers

Greg

Thank you, I am hoping to meet people interested in trailing dogs, rather than tracking. lol
wish me luck as there is no trailing clubs in Australia that I know of.
And hope someone with brains can get it happening here one day as it is very big in America.
warmest regards Nadie

Well there is no time like the present - We would be happy to assist you or whoever in promoting the new club if it takes off by the way of a FREE website and hosting

Cheers
