Help for the Dogs for Rescue Listing

This guide is provided in two parts, the first for the general user for browsing and searching the directory, the second part is for anyone wishing to add a dog for rescue.

Browsing

Navigation of the Dogs for Rescue Directory is fairly simply with the top row of buttons as shown here

dogrescuehelp1.gif

The Dog Rescue Directory button will take you to the main Dogs for Rescue home page.  The Back button (not displayed on Dogs for Rescue Home Page) allows the user to simply go back a page to view the previous page, the same as your back button on your web browser. The Search button takes you to the Directory search feature (see below).  Add Entry is for members of dogsites.com.au to add any dogs for rescue.  The Help button brings up this page.

Browsing is very simple, just select the Dogs needing Rescue category to view all Dogs for Rescue.

Dogs for Rescue cards are displayed as s summary of information of aeach dog that has been listed, selecting any of the cards (anywhere in each box) will bring up the full details of that dog.  Please note you must be a member of dogsites to view contact details, this is done to reduce the possibility of email and contact detail harvesting.

Searching

Searching within the Dogs for Rescue Directory can be done in two main ways, one being via the main dogsites.com.au search found on the left hand side navigation menu and the in-built Dogs for Rescue Directory specific search function.

To access the Dogs for Rescue Directory specific search simply select the Search button from the top navigation links, a screen like this will appear.

The top section is simply a text box that allows you to enter your search terms, such as breed name or really anything else.  You can then select to find any of the words, all of the words or the exact phrase, which can be useful if searching for a specific breed name.

The area underneath allows you to refine your search to specific locations, simply select the drop down lists and make your selection.  When done select the Search button provided and the results of your search will appear beneath your search criteria.

That is pretty much it for browsing and searching so enjoy and we hope you finr it useful.
