Scottish Kennel Club Championship Shows

The Scottish Kennel Club holds two General Championship Shows each year. Please see the dates for the Shows being held in 2009 below:

Friday 15th May - Gundog & Utility
Saturday 16th May - Hounds, Terriers, Toys & Obedience
Sunday 17th May - Working, Pastoral & Agility


Saturday 29th August - Working, Pastoral, Utility, Toy & Agility
Sunday 30th August - Gundog, Hound & Terrier

Venue: Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, Edinburgh, EH28 8NF.

Judging Order: The order of judging for the Championship Shows can be found by clicking on 'Shows' on the above menu bar (as soon as judging order is available)

Opening of Show: The Show will open at 7.30am each day for Exhibitors. Main spectator gate open at 9.00am.
Judging Time: All judging will commence at 9.30am each day, unless notified in the Canine Press.
Admission for non-exhibitors: Adults £5.00, Children/Senior Citizens £2.00.

Un-entered dogs are not permitted in the Showground. Dogs are not permitted to be left in cars.

SCOTTISH KENNEL CLUB JUNIOR TRAINING DAY

THE BARN, DALCRUE FARM, PERTH, SUNDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 2008

The Scottish Kennel Club is holding its first Junior Multi-Discipline Training Day covering - Handling, Agility & Obedience.

The event is open to any juniors (up to 18 years of age) resident in Scotland. Juniors must handle their own dog or a family dog. Guardians must be present at all times throughout the day.

2008 BREEDERS' SYMPOSIA - Glasgow University 16th November & Royal Veterinary College 30th November 2008

The Kennel Club, the Pet Food Manufacturers' Association and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (Petsavers) are holding a Breeders' Symposium at Glasgow University (St Andrews Building) on Sunday 16th November and at the Royal Veterinary College, North Mymms, Hertfordshire on Sunday 30th November.
These Symposia are specifically designed for all dog lovers and dog breeders. We have chosen topics which often raise queries and which we hope are of considerable interest to breeders. After each presentation, we have allocated time for questions relating to the topics. Questions can also be submitted in advance on the booking form.

S.K.C Beginners Obedience Competition 2009

Entry is restricted to dogs and handlers resident in Scotland who have never before participated in an Open or Championship Obedience Show. The Competition is organised on a heat basis and the first four winners in each class will qualify for the final on Sunday 30th August 2009 at the Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, held in conjunction with the Championship Breed Show. There are two classes (1) Children under 16 years of age and (2) Adults. Further details can be obtained from the SKC Office or direct from the heat organisers.

Heats will be listed shortly.
