Why is Dogsites Membership free?

Put simply, as long time internet users, we strongly believe that the sharing of information on the internet should be done freely.

Can I add videos from YouTube or similar site?

The Dogsites video system allows you to upload your own video to our server, or use the url of an existing online video to "stream" the video to the Dogsites Video selection.

Can I be notified of updates to Dogsites?

Yes, you can be notified automatically when new articles and updates are made to Dogsites by subsribed to the RSS syndication of the Dogsites Blog.

Simply click on the "Home - Site Blog" button in the menu bar on the top of the page. 

Additionally, you can individually subscribe to many of our featured areas such as the photo gallery, Breeders Directory and Judges Directory by clicking on the RSS feeds icon at the bottom of each of these pages (the RSS feed icon is the little orange square with 3 curved white lines).

Can you help me with.....?

Due to time constraints of maintaing such a large manually monitored website, we would really appreciate if you would check the FAQ and the "Help and Policies " section (in the blue menu bar on the left of your screen) before sending an email with your query.

Please also see our Forums as it may have been asked there or submit your question on the forums as they are always given priority for replies. 

There are also many "Help" buttons and information bubbles through the website that will answer most questions. 

Certainly if your query is not answered in the FAQ or "Help and Policies" question, please send us an email and we will assist as soon as possible.

I forgot my Password, what do I do?
Just scroll to the bottom of the menu on the left.  Click on the Lost Password link, enter your Username and email address and a new password will be generated automatically and sent by email.  Depending on your server this may take a little while for delivery.

Why is my Breeders Directory/Classified Add/Other Listing not showing?

First of all, have you registered for free Dogsites membership?  If not, please register first.

Secondly, all user contributions are manually checked before being made live on the website.  Unfortunately this step is necessary to make sure that the system is not abused and inundated with spammers and other unscrupulous and unsavory types.

Its a big website, with lots of manual checking required.  This is done as frequently as possible (usually daily), but please be patient!  An automated email will be sent to you when your listing is accepted and has been made live.
